How to Get Organised for Christmas in 1 Easy Step

christmas Oct 09, 2019

You have had ENOUGH of running around like a headless chicken in December, worrying about everyone else, squeezing in the planning, buying and prepping in tiny tiny pockets of winter time all for one day - Christmas Day!

You are looking for the solution to getting organised for Christmas and finally enjoying the festivities along with everyone else and We have it - Here at Stress Less Christmas!

The 1 Easy Step to getting it all done is really simple....
SPREAD IT OUT !!!

Honestly it's as simple as that!

We are not talking about starting in January and thinking about Christmas all year round (although there are benefits to that - but that's completely another blog topic) We are talking about October through to December, in this short space of time, it really is possible to spread out your key tasks which include:

  • preparing your spaces by decluttering,
  • planning your meals
  • shopping for gifts
  • decorating
  • preparing food
and a few more essential tasks

It sounds a lot, but the right tasks completed at the right time can be easily incorporated into your everyday routine and will give you lots of instant wins along the way so that you feel motivated to keep on going.

Alicia developed the Stress Less Christmas Planner and Programme through sheer necessity, juggling family, businesses, caring responsibilities and illness - had she not spread out the load and started earlier than December - Christmas simply would not have happened the magical way she wanted it to and also she would very likely have burnt out or gone slightly dolally!

Alicia makes sure that everything builds on itself week after week, that she doesn't miss those deadlines for appointments and ordering/buying/sending and that come December she feels festive with time to genuinely connect with her family.

So our tips for following the easy step of 'Spread It Out' is to:

  • Write a list of everything you feel you need to do
  • Mark off any deadlines/key dates
  • Then literally work your way through the list and put it on your calendar - the earlier you start the less you have to fit in each week.

Of course if you are struggling to find time to do this or simply feel overwhelmed by Christmas planning and don't know where to start or how to order the tasks  - then you can always download our FREE Christmas Planner where you will find key tasks already allocated to specific weeks
or
