Where your mum and dad hid your Christmas presents !

DO you remember the time you realised Santa didn’t exist but kept the pretence going, partly because your parents seemed to be having so much fun and also because you thought you could find the presents so much sooner ....  yet you never did ..... were they magical after all ? ! 

Well we asked our communities the places they hide their presents and here are the Top 10 with a couple of unexpected locations, followed by a couple of useful tips if you are hiding for the first time!

Underwear Drawer!! - Yes ideal for some of those smaller pressies

Inside a Divan Bed - Cut the sheet bottom on a Divan Bed and then duct tape or staple it back up. 

Out of Order Toilet - every Christmas the en-suite has a leak!

So now you know the top hiding places here are some hiding tips :

1 - Write down what you’ve hidden and where !! Sounds obvious but we’ve had a few people tell us how they completely forgot and ended up buying presents all over again ... For those who are following the Stress Less Christmas Programme  use your Gift List template to keep track of gift ideas, when they’ve been purchased and where you may have stored them. 

2 - Club together with friends and family - Hire out a storage unit with friends or family to help spread the cost and make the most of the space. 

3 - Think ahead  -  Check what is around the hidden presents, hiding something on a warm day you may forget that the radiator is likely to melt the 3 for 2 chocolates.. Or maybe the sleigh is hidden in the same cupboard - think will the children drag it out on the first sign of a snowflake?

4 - Label Up - If you are super organised and wrap as you go along be sure to attach the labels at the same time, it's easy to think you will remember what they all are but in the spirit of being less stressed this Christmas get it all done and then you really can forget about them until Christmas Eve.
